A Tax Paid in Flesh is fiscally sponsored by the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, making all donations tax-deductible. Contributions directly fund the project’s research, creative work, and community programming as it develops toward future exhibitions.
Donations of any amount — even $25 — are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law and are processed through NYFA. Gifts of $250 or more receive an IRS acknowledgment letter, and gifts of $2,500 or more require a brief donor letter.

Glad to have 'Nangeli' — from my project "A Tax Paid in Flesh" about Breast Tax— included in this powerful exhibition. 
My work traces socio-political histories and seeks to dismantle intra-race hierarchies through acts of making, mourning, and remembering. For me, Freedom lies in dismantling the hierarchies we’ve inherited and internalized.
