About the Series
Transgression Series explores the material and symbolic weight of gold adornment on bodies cast into histories of extraction and erasure.
These small-scale works portray dark-skinned women as both tokens of value and sites of resistance — where adornment becomes a register of cost, glamour, and refusal.

Small works and related studies extend this project’s inquiry into caste, labor, and beauty through pigment, gold, and the body.
